Git repo for shared scripts?

Should we create a shared gitlab/github repo with a bunch of curated and self-developed scripts?
A gitlab or github organisation with a scripts repo where anyone can push merge requests to.

I'm personally more inclined towards gitlab over github, but that's me, and I use both.

Why git? because that's exactly what it's designed for... While talking and getting help with scripts is great on forums, version control and testing is significantly harder if not impossbile.

Thoughts?

Github is great. You can make them and just post links to them in admin area for a record of them.

I've setup a Github organisation here: https://github.com/EZLinux
We can have as many repos as we want/need, I have created a scripts one already:

I've added automated security and dependency checking, we can now accept and process pull requests, etc.
